Michael Price
Award winning composer Michael Price started out composing for contemporary dance choreographers in his twenties. While he loved the freedom and creativity of that world, the chance to be assistant to the late Michael Kamen on the film score for Event Horizon in 1996 set him on a path to multiple film projects over the years including the Academy Award winning feature Children of Men, the Lord of the Rings trilogy and James Bond: Quantum of Solace.
He won an EMMY award in 2014 as well as a BAFTA nomination and 2 further EMMY nominations for the critically acclaimed BBC series Sherlock. Other recent TV projects include the 4th season of BAFTA-winning crime drama Unforgotten and the BBC’s Dracula adaptation, for which he and David Arnold have received an Ivor Novello Nomination.
He most recent solo album, Tender Symmetry, takes a series of iconic National Trust locations across England as its inspiration, turning them into unlikely recording spaces.
